What is important is that children experience joy in doing eurythmy.
    - Rudolf Steiner

Purpose and Goals

Why a pedagogical eurythmy program? After intensively studying eurythmy as a performing art, many eurythmists wish to teach children. Our Pedagogical Eurythmy Program introduces the artist of movement to the world of the growing child and provides the opportunity to explore Waldorf Education through the practice of eurythmy. We prepare the prospective eurythmy teacher for the classroom by providing a rich curriculum and guided teaching opportunities.

Theory and Practice

Our Pedagogical Eurythmy Program balances class time, where all students are present, with individual teaching experience at various schools.

Research and Reflection over Time

Our intensive group study sessions are punctuated by individual preparation for the next session, offering a rhythm that fosters depth and experientially-based observation.

Diversity and Cohesion

Our faculty is diverse, with varied experience, expertise, and a wide range of knowledge. Our students share their own diverse experience from their training and current teaching positions.

Mentoring and In-Service Program

Each student is required to teach or engage in a mentored teaching practicum during the second year. This work becomes the basis of an individual project.
