High School Faculty

Although each Waldorf high school is staffed differently, a constellation of faculty in a full high school (grades 9-12) of 80-120 students typically comprises 12 full-time equivalencies (FTE's), plus at least one full-time equivalent office staff position (secretary/receptionist, etc). A breakdown of these 12 FTE's might look like this:

FTE Position
2(+)   English/History
2   Math
1   Science: Physical Sciences and Life Sciences
2   Foreign Languages
3   Arts and Crafts
1(-)   Athletics, physical education
1   College Counselor/Guidance counselor/administrator

Between them, these teachers would be responsible for up to 12 "main lessons" per grade (total for the high schools = up to 48), plus year-long track or run-through classes such as skills, artistic courses, electives, and athletics.
