Summer Seminar Series — Online! 27 June – 30 July 2021

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Center for Anthroposophy (CfA) is launching a new certificate program for Waldorf high school teachers of physics and chemistry – the first in three years. Michael D’Aleo, internationally recognized high school science teacher and author, will lead this three-summers course as part of CfA’s Waldorf High School Teacher Education Program.
In addition, a new cohort is also starting in the teaching of the life and earth sciences with Michael Holdrege, a founder of the Chicago Waldorf High School and author of a new book on teaching high school biology.

Both science courses will focus on
Teaching sciences in grades 9, 10, 11, & 12
Phenomenological approach to science teaching
Essentials of Waldorf education and adolescent development
Artistic practice in the sciences

As a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA), the CfA high school program is recognized by Waldorf schools worldwide. And through its affiliation with Antioch University New England, CfA’s certificate can also lead to a fully accredited Master’s degree in Waldorf Education, with emphasis on teaching high school science.
