A life-long class teacher at the Lexington Waldorf School, Stephen joined CfA’s newly re-incorporated board in 1998 and within a year was elected its treasurer, a position he held until he retired from the board at this month’s fall meeting. Earlier this year, he and his wife moved to their new home in Edina, a suburb of Minneapolis.
Stephen was warmly thanked by his colleagues for his two dozen years as CfA trustee and adjunct faculty member in CfA and Antioch University adult education programs. He was also recognized for his years of service as Leader for the Northeast-Quebec Region on the Leadership Council of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).
Though the meeting was held via a Zoom call, the board was able to fete Stephen with a miniature wooden “Treasure(r) Chest” (mailed to his new home in advance) that contained a map guiding him to tasty treasure near his new home. The chest was also filled with trinkets and sweets to honor his Scandinavian ancestry, including “Swedish fish” gummies and shiny “Doubloomquist” chocolate coins.
