Winter 2025
by Bev Boyer
Explorations Online is now entering its sixth year. Over this period of time nearly 400 participants from around the world have gathered for the weekend seminars, and have come away enriched and inspired.
“The plethora of EXPLORATIONS happening in your Program cannot be matched. The staff’s knowledge and experiences go beyond any expectations. My awareness of myself and the world has grown beyond my wildest dreams. I loved EVERY MINUTE! I am grateful for my commitment to this program and for you showing up each and every week with content to feed my mind! Thank you!”
This online course, which meets nine months of the year on alternate weekends, offers workshops on a wide variety of topics. In addition to being introduced to basic concepts of anthroposophy and Waldorf pedagogy, participants have opportunities to consider contemporary issues facing us in our schools and society today. The classes are interactive and lively, and theory is mixed with practice.
“Explorations was an extremely helpful, supportive, and immensely useful course. It gives a great amount of insight and confidence into understanding the very practical application of something so deeply spiritual. It gave clarity and practice for how to relate to Steiner’s ideas, which I had found previously overwhelming.”
In addition, each Explorations class session offers 30 minutes of artistic activity – eurythmy, speech, pastel drawing, or singing. Further, there is an ongoing focus on inner development, with a systematic practice of Steiner’s Six Basic Exercises woven into the course.
Deborah Dornemann: Our New Program Director

The 2025-2026 cycle is scheduled to begin on March 15, and we are very pleased to announce that this new group of participants will be greeted by a new program director! In addition to her delightful personal qualities, Deborah Dornemann brings decades of experience to this role. She has taught all ages and has held administrative positions in a variety of school settings. And now she is very excited to step into this role as the director of Explorations Online!
A new cohort from around the world is forming for the new cycle, and there is room for more! Additional details about the course – as well as the opportunity to register – can be found on our webpage:

We hope to see you online soon!
Editor’s Note: On behalf of the Center for Anthroposophy and the hundreds of Explorations participants who have found their way deeper into the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, I wish to extend an enormous thank you to Bev Boyer. Bev’s work as Program Director and all of the many other tasks she takes up in CfA with quiet grace and profound depth and skills, will be greatly missed. It has been rich and rewarding to work with Bev in these many contexts over the years. We wish Bev all the best as she steps back from Explorations (but thankfully, not entirely from CfA!).
