Directions & General Information
Directions for travel by car:
Our summer campus is located at High Mowing School in the southern New Hampshire town of Wilton, between Nashua and Keene. It is about 1.5 hours northwest of Boston and 45 minutes southwest of Manchester.
Please note that the official street address of our campus (222 Isaac Frye Highway) confuses many GPS systems. You can put in the address 335 Abbot Hill Road, Wilton NH, which will bring you to our driveway. If you search for us on Google maps, search for High Mowing School rather than our address.
From the east:
From the Boston Area Take Route 3 into New Hampshire and take Exit 8, “Monadnock Region and Route 101A.” In approximately eight miles, turn left to take Route 101/west to Wilton. After 5 miles you will encounter two traffic lights; turn left at the second one. Continue on Route 101/west for another 2 miles, passing through one traffic light. Watch for signs to the Pine Hill Waldorf Auditorium, Abbot Hill Road, and and High Mowing School. Turn left onto Abbot Hill Road. High Mowing is on the right, at the top of the hill, in 1.5 miles. The Main Building is straight ahead, with visitor parking to the right.
From Manchester Airport Follow the signs leading to Route 101. In two miles turn left onto Route 101 West. In approximately 20 miles, you will encounter two traffic lights; turn left at the second one. Continue on Route 101/west for another 2 miles, passing through one traffic light. Watch for signs to the Pine Hill Waldorf Auditorium, Abbot Hill Road, and High Mowing School. Turn left onto Abbot Hill Road. High Mowing is on the right, at the top of the hill, in 1.5 miles. The Main Building is straight ahead, with visitor parking to the right.
From the west:
Take Route 101/east to Wilton. Watch for signs to the Pine Hill Waldorf Auditorium, Abbot Hill Road, and High Mowing School. Turn right onto Abbot Hill Road. High Mowing is on the right, at the top of the hill, in 1.5 miles. The Main Building is straight ahead, with visitor parking to the right.
Directions for travel by air:
The closest airport is in Manchester, NH (MHT) making it the easiest and best choice for air travel. Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston is also an option.
From either airport there is van service leaving every half hour through Flightline Airport Service . Reservations should be made in advance. (Prepayment by credit card is now required 7 business days prior to reservation.) Please contact the website for terms & conditions, prices etc. They will take you as far as Milford, NH (the town next to Wilton) and from there you can get a local taxi to High Mowing or perhaps contact a friend to pick you up. (Milford Taxi 672-3344)
Another cost-effective way to get to Wilton from Logan International Airport (BOS) or Boston South Station is Boston Express Bus. You will be going to Nashua Exit 8 station. You may pre-pay and print at home tickets valid on any bus on the schedule. Fares are: Adult One Way – $18.00 or Adult Round Trip – $32.00. From Nashua Exit 8 you may take SK Taxi (603) 882-5155 or Uber.
