In This Edition...
Foreword by the Executive Director

By David Barham
By the time this edition of Center & Periphery makes it way out into the world, I will be in Kassel, Germany at the 17th International Refresher Course and World Upper School Teachers Conference, put on by the Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum in Switzerland. In June, CfA’s Torin Finser will be leading a workshop on Karmic Considerations for Leadership at the AWSNA Association conference in Toronto, Canada.
Anthroposophy and Waldorf education are global and our participation as teachers, administrators, therapists and artists working with impulses from Rudolf Steiner ties us through time and space to striving individuals all over the world. Center for Anthroposophy is part of the global dialogue seeking to meet the tremendous needs of the world. Participants in our programs are from all over the planet and this adds richness and strength to all we do and broadens our understanding of the world.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the 100th anniversary of the death of Rudolf Steiner (March 30, 1925). So many of us have found meaning through our encounter with Steiner’s work. We here at CfA all feel a tremendous sense of gratitude to what Dr. Steiner gave the world during his lifetime as we strive to work out of a sense of wonder, compassion and conscience in all of our endeavors.
Please enjoy this April edition of our newsletter as we highlight just a few of our many programs and our fabulous alums out in the world doing good work.
Drop a line and let us know your thoughts about our work and tell us how you like Center & Periphery.
Yours,
