News from the Abbot Hill Alumni Group

Autumn 2023

By Diana Tesni

The Abbot Hill Alumni Group, launched last year for the graduates of the Waldorf teacher training programs at CfA and Antioch University New England, is stepping into a new phase of development. CfA has created a searchable database allowing alumni to connect with other teacher training graduates. Building this resource for our community has been a multi-step process requiring several iterations, but we are almost ready to officially make this resource available to all teacher training program graduates.

In July 2023, we celebrated the official beginning of the Abbot Hill Alumni Group with cake and dancing and a beautiful sunset. We intend to make this an annual event during CfA’s summertime Renewal Courses on the campus of High Mowing School in Wilton, NH, so mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Details will follow.

This fall, I returned to the classroom as the second grade teacher at Meadowbrook Waldorf School in Rhode Island. It is wonderful to be teaching again, but my new position has allowed me less time for our young alumni association. Bev Boyer, Robyne Plaga, and I will continue to hold the reins of leadership, but we are looking for fellow alumni interested in helping Abbot Hill Alumni Group move into its next phase of development. If you have ideas for us or if you are interested in talking with us about being a part of the leadership team, please reach out to alums@centerforanthroposophy.org. We would love to hear from you!

In fellowship,
Diana Tesni
Chair of the Abbot Hill Alumni Group’s Leadership Team
